LADA Comes of Age

LADA comes of age with the dawn of a new millennium. It has been 17 years since LADA was established in 1990 as the planner, catalyst and coordinator of the overall development of Langkawi.

The dual-pronged objectives of LADA are to transform Langkawi into a major international tourist destination and to ensure that the locals derive maximum benefits from all the development programs being planned for and implemented. These objectives are clearly stated and elaborated in the LADA Act 423 as well as in the Structure Plan of Langkawi 1990- 2005.
