Langkawi March 26, 2011 : A total of 20 badminton teams from various private and government agencies faced off at the 2011 Annual LADA Badminton Cup Championship held 24-26 March at the Langkawi Sports Complex Badminton Hall.

The players came from diverse agencies like Customs Dept, the Royal Malaysian Police, MRSM, Lafarge, Langkawi Hospital, Irrigation Dept and various hotels and banks. There was a strong turnout for female contestants, with a total of 12 teams from the Women’s Badminton Club in Langkawi.

The LADA Badminton Cup Championship began in 2007 and was organized to find new talent and strengthen ties within the local badminton community. This year’s winner of the Men’s Team Category was Team LADA. The Women’s Team Category was won by Team Honda.

The prizes were awarded by LADA General Manager, Y. Bhg. Dato’ Azman bin Umar.
