Langkawi, 15 September: Langkawi will be once again in the spotlight of international paintball when the 4-day World Cup Asia (WCA) 2012 kicks off on the island on 8th November. This is the second year in a row that the WCA is being held in Langkawi, and government officials are optimistic that the success of this year’s competition will leave no doubt in anyone’s mind that Langkawi’s Mahsuri Hall is one of the world’s greatest paintball tournament arenas.

It was certainly a feast to remember.

On 15 Sep, LADA pulled out all the stops for this year’s 2012 Hari Raya Open House by feeding and entertaining a crowd of more than 15,000 people at the massive Mahsuri Hall. The memorable dinner was graced by the presence of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who received virtually a hero’s welcome at his arrival with hundreds of guests crowding around to shake his hand.

Malaysia’s Youngest Equestrian Enters the UK’s World Endurance Championship

Langkawi, August 8, 2012: At 16 years of age, Muhammad Ziyad Muhammad Hamzah of Langkawi is Malaysia’s youngest equestrian (one skilled in riding, driving, steeplechasing or vaulting with horses) to be chosen by the Equestrian Association of Malaysia (EAM) to enter the prestigious World Endurance Championship in the UK on 25 August. Ziyad’s father, Muhamad Hamzah Abdullah, who is the Managing Director of Island Horses Sdn Bhd in Langkawi, informed the press that a total of 6 riders will represent Malaysia in the competition.
