Langkawi, 24th November 2021 \u2013 Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) in collaboration with Langkawi District Education Office (PPD), Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd. (PLSB), Langkawi Port Sdn. Bhd. (LPSB), and Langsura Geopark Sdn. Bhd. (LGSB) had organised the Langkawi Student Excellence Award Ceremony (A-KAWI) Year 2021 on 24th November 2021 at Bayview Hotel, Kuah.<\/p>\n

The programme which has been held annually for the past few years was organised to honour and acknowledge the great achievement of Langkawi\u2019s excellent students in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) examinations in the previous year of 2020.<\/p>\n

A total of 66 individuals comprising 38 SPM students and 28 STPM students from all over Langkawi were each awarded with a certificate of appreciation and RM200 cash contribution by LADA. In addition, the recipients of SPM Best Student Award, Nur Aishah binti Zakaria and STPM Best Student Award, Mohamad Hafiz bin Zamzuri had respectively received laptop prizes contributed by PLSB and LGSB. Another student who received an electronic tablet contributed by LADA was Miftahul Zaira binti Mohammad Zairi, the proud recipient of Special Award for Co-curricular Excellent Student.<\/p>\n

The launching as well as award-giving ceremony were effectuated by YBrs. Tuan Nasaruddin bin Abdul Muttalib, Chief Executive Officer of LADA. Also present was Encik Azhari bin Abdul Rashid, Langkawi District Education Officer. It is therefore hoped that such organising of A-KAWI Ceremony will greatly encourage all students in Langkawi to also aim high and consequently achieve success in academic and co-curricular arenas.<\/p>\n<\/div>
