Malaysia is famous for its multi-racial society that lives peacefully and harmoniously. The relationship between multi-racial communities such as the Malays, Chinese and Indians has been closely intertwined for a long time and forms a united plural society in addition to celebrating the festival every year. The Deepavali festival is also known as Diwali, Depawali, Dewali, Dipodsavi and Dipapratipad. This colourful festival is celebrated by Indian Hindus all over the world and is usually celebrated at the end of October and beginning of November as the Festival of Lights.
