Walkabout Asia held their first international documentary film festival.
Known as Walk The Doc International Documentary Festival, this three day event at Mercure Langkawi Pantai Cenang, Malaysia gathered documentary filmmakers and enthusiasts alike to learn and share all things documentary.
The festival theme is Nature, Environment and Travel, aiming to seek out films that document interesting events, amazing people and intriguing things that address the beauty of our planet and how we care or should care about it.
The Festival begin with a documentary competition and received an encouraging 77 entries from 15 countries. Close to 120 people attended this maiden event, participating in forums and workshops by international speakers flown specially to Langkawi for this festival.
