15 May 2023 – LADA has held a Project Handover Ceremony for Upgrading Mechanical and Electrical Systems and other related works at the MIEC Hall, Langkawi Kedah Darul Aman.
This ceremony marked the handover of the upgraded MIEC Hall to LADA by the contractor, Lapisan Rezeki Sdn Bhd. The handover ceremony was attended by YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Zafir Bin Ibrahim, Undersecretary of the Statutory Body Strategic Management Division, Ministry of Finance Malaysia; YBrs. Tuan Wan Kamarul Faisal Bin Wan Kamardin, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Planning and Development) of LADA; YBrs. Ir. Khairul Nizam Bin Yusoff, Manager, Technical Engineering Division of LADA and YBrs. Dato’ Yahaye Bin Sidek, representing the contractor of Lapisan Rezeki Sdn. Bhd.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Surah Yasin and a doa selamat (safe prayer) by the students of Maahad Tahfiz Sulaimaniyyah Ar-Rawi, Langkawi. The ceremony continued with the handing over of replica keys by the contractor to YBrs. Tuan Wan Kamarul Faisal Bin Wan Kamardin represented LADA, which was followed by the handover of the Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC) to the contractor by LADA.
This upgrade project has been successfully implemented by the project team, which consists of officers and staff from LADA’s Technical Engineering Division, the consulting team, and the contractor, covering the scope of upgrading the air conditioning system and electrical wiring in the entire MIEC Hall as well as other related works in order to ensure that the hall is in the best condition ahead of the organisation of LIMA 23.
