Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) had conducted an engagement session with the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Kedah/Perlis Chapter to discuss the strategic plan in promoting Langkawi’s impacted tourism industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this programme, MAH had highlighted on the problems and issues faced especially in terms of the significant decline in number of guests at hotels registered with MAH.

A few mechanisms were discussed and improved to help revive the tourism industry in Langkawi. This programme is a part of measures taken by LADA to extend its collaboration with various parties particularly tourism industry players in Langkawi to tackle several issues related to the industry itself.

MAH was represented by its Chairman, Mr. Eugene Dass and seven MAH Kedah/Perlis Committee Members, while LADA was represented by Dr. Hezri Bin Adnan, Chief Executive Officer as well as three officers from Tourism Division.
