The Government of Malaysia through the Ministry of Economy, under the subregional cooperation initiatives Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) and Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASIAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), ICLEI -Local Governments for Sustainability-South Asia and Southeast Asia (ICLEI-SA/ ICLEI-SEA), IMT-GT Joint Business Council (JBC) supports the implementation of the Green City Action Plan (GCAP) in Langkawi Island.
In collaboration with the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), a workshop for the implementation of the Green City Action Plan (GCAP) in Langkawi was organised on 19 March 2023 at the LADA Auditorium. This workshop was officiated by YB Dato’ Wira Dr. Ku Abdul Rahman Ku Ismail, Exco of the Kedah State Government, and Chairman of the Committee for Industry & Investment, Science, Technology & Innovation, Higher Education and was also attended by the Langkawi Municipal Council Tourism City (MPLBP) and representatives of government agencies in the State of Kedah.
