Langkawi, 4th July 2023 – The UNESCO Global Geopark assessors were taken to visit the Geopark to School Program at SK Kilim, Langkawi. They also witnessed cultural performances by the students and visited the Geopark Corner, where they received explanations from the Geopark Junior Guide about the unique geological heritage of Langkawi. These junior guides are trained to raise awareness about environmental conservation.

Lastly, the UNESCO assessors were taken to visit the Geopark Gallery at the LADA Complex, where Dr. Azmil Munif Mohd Bukhari, the Manager of LUGGp, presented an explanation about the Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Che Aziz Ali provided detailed insights into the rocks of Langkawi, enlightening the assessors about their unique characteristics and significance.
