On 7th June 2020, Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) had conducted an engagement session with Langkawi Ferry Line Consortium to discuss the strategic plan in promoting Langkawi’s tourism industry which has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Various issues and challenges faced by ferry line entrepreneurs were raised during the session, particularly on ferry passengers’ compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Such programme is a measure taken by LADA to expand its collaboration with Langkawi tourism industry players in dealing with numerous issues related to tourism industry. The session was held in Bilik Mesyuarat Utama (Main Meeting Room), Level 8, LADA Complex. Chaired by Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Hezri bin Adnan, the session was also joined by Tuan Haji Zepri Bin Saad, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Planning & Development) and officers from Tourism Division.
