In celebration of World Mountain Day 2023, 40 experienced hikers collaborated in a Geohiking program on Langkawi’s Mount Raya Granite. The event, a partnership between LADA, the Department of Forestry, Civil Defense, Kelab Rekreasi dan Pendaki Langkawi and Bina Darulaman Berhad (BDB), highlighted the geological wonders of the mountain. Emphasizing its role in the local ecosystem, participants also successfully planted 60 saplings (Hopea Odorata species/Merawan Siput Jantan), contributing to environmental conservation and advancing Langkawi as a globally recognized geopark destination.
